Because of John Hughes, I felt as if my adolescence would be right out of one of his movies. That did not happen, instead turning out closer to David Lynch. But I composed this when I felt very nostalgic of both love and my childhood.

Images from John Whitney's "Calalog" (1961) A man who figured out windows media player visualizations 50 years before they became so commonplace.

  • That is probably one of your best compositions you have ever done. Nice one.

  • @jayrothfritz Thanx' mate. I think you are right....I have not written anything like it since, but the inspiration was tangible in this case.

  • Very "Escape From New York" at times... nice job Gaz.

  • @hamsterdunce Thanks...I have yet to watch that movie. Its been on my list for 5 years now.

  • szafa gra, zajebiste :)

  • Great atmosphere, I hear John Carpenter as well.

  • Really great stuff. It somewhat reminds me of music by German musician called Karsten Koch. Namely the music he did for games Flying Tigers (side scrolling shoot'em up) and Outer Ridge (some kind of 3D asteroids). Soundtracks from both of those games (in mod format) can be downloaded from his web page (though he asks for email adresses etc.).

  • Nice work, loved those John Hughes teen movies in the eighties also a lot. Especially The Breakfast Club.

  • how do i get retarded disco music

  • Great stuff. I'm a depeche mode fan too. I just got a TX81Z yesterday. Do you have any sysex patches?

Awesome song man! I just saw the breakfast club a few weeks ago.

  • great stuff

  • @rexineffex Thanks, this is one of mine, although the influences can be heard. Its like the Thompson Twins, Depeche Mode and Ralph Vaughan Williams were there.

  • great stuff man, love your songs
