If you actually looked up the meaning of the song, he's criticizing the way of live of the people who live in the Gangnam District (where all the rich/bourgeois people live in). How every trend in Korea starts there and if you don't look like them, you're a cast-out. I'm no K-Pop fan, but seeing things in a new light gives you a better understanding of other cultures.
