Coming in early 2012, Firefox will have some new web developer tools built in to the browser. You can try them today on the Aurora channel.

why not just bake firebug in? instead of working on a firebug clone that is not as powerful.

It would be nice if these tools would work in fullscreen mode(for small screen portable devices).

@Damkrawpl Yeah. This is built-in to Firefox, similar to the one in Chrome. This means it's an official feature supported by Mozilla. Firebug is an extension, it's not made by Mozilla.

That's correct, except for Scratchpad, which has a different feel from playing with JavaScript in the console. Our console also shows more information (all network requests, not just the ones after document ready, for example)
