@veramele oh I can agree religion adds extra pressure, pressure to be good and perfect. I always felt I had to be perfect and well now I have lots of problems, eating disorder, self harm, I'm a recovering addict. I definitely think how a grew up and religion contributed this.

that is so true. My root was that I was abused as a child and wanted to take that control from my dad by hurting myself. Although I didnt realize this till many years later.

Even if you have people who love you that might not be enough , you have to get to the root of the problem, if not you will keep on harming. You may have the most supportive parents in the world but if you feel you lack control as long as that is there it you will never be free.

You Just have to try and reconnect with the lord. Believe me i know it is hard i have been there as well. Sometimes getting involved in church functions helps. For me it has become a little easier now that i participate in the music worship at church.

What about support for someone who has known God closely for 11 years and was Babtized last year and is still in a very hard place? :'(
