The folks who had the rough landings were fine, though the gliders needed new down tubes. Lakeview is at 4500 ft; at that altitude the air is thinner than in the San Francisco bay area where we are from, so the landings are a bit higher speed. 2% for every 1000 feet according to the training manual!
