Just an experiment with my first play around with Data Moshing, basically melding together two video sources... The outcome is very raw digital and distorted on purpose .....

The source video's are from Hunz concert at the Troubadour in Brisbane footage by Niteshok http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=9B9F5A856978EB7F

"You Said Hello" by Hunz from the album "Thoughts That Move". Download this track and the rest of the album from http://hunz.bandcamp.com/
Vocals, programming and keys by Hans van Vliet
Bass by Phil Evans
Drums by Richie Young

Used with Permission....

The other footage is from the 1980's show "Dino Riders" used without permission because I don't think they care

  • The images are just that, images. they have nothing to do with anything else.

rock and roll has this way of cannibalizing fine art . ie. datamoshing and cool cartoons being exploited.

  • @chasbo13 Not sure I understand your comment? Fine art needs more cannibalism in my opinion... As mentioned it was an experiment the images were just from the two most recent videos I had on my desktop so definitely have nothing to do with anything else..

  • @chasbo13 Is that a quote from Beavis and Butthead ahahaha

  • @D0tAY found footage can either be shown or it can be used to make something else. it is the difference between making a chocolate cake and giving someone a bar of chocolate that you bought or found.

I am saying that in this case you are giving someone a bar of chocolate. datamoshing is baking a whole chocolate cake. The images themselves are interesting and deep in metaphor so you are to a good start there.

  • cool vid and awesome song :)

  • cool stuff. dig the troubador. saw sekiden there in 2004?

  • nice. this is a great song too.

  • awesome
