No, if you do that you will blow the tranny instantly. You have to take out the center differential, gut it, and weld a few pieces. This by passes the front axles and puts 100% power to the rear wheels. That being said, pretty much anything more then stock WRX hp with shatter the R160 rear end, I have an R180 with a 4.44 final drive and spec B axles going in to make up for my T3T4 57 trim turbo, hydra, 880 cc injectors, FMIC and 3" exhaust going on.
