My tears started to flow at 1:55, when the Olympic Torch entered the Stadium to Beethoven's Ode to Joy..That was Awesome!!! Thinking that Beethoven was deaf when he wrote this piece.....Amazing.

I had the honor of being in the stadium during the opening ceremonies in Atlanta 1996, and unfortunately this video didn't catch the full excitement and enthusiasm from the crowd when Ali's name came up on the big screen. He was the perfect choice to light the cauldron.

The opening of the Olympic games is always a lavish undertaking, no matter who hosts the games. I thought having Ali light the cauldron was a great choice.

Goddammit. I live in atlanta, and when everyone came for the games in '96, no one left. I hate it here.
