Yes,this is typical as the brushless tail motor does not engage until you add a little throttle. The easiest way to avoid this problem is to quickly lift your throttle up a little and then back down. Repeat until you hear the tail motor engaging via a small two beep sound. Now you can spool up without having too much tail whiplash like we had in our video which we quickly compensated for.

I couldn't help but notice that ur heli is slightly tilted to the right the whole time it was flying. I've got that one in my collection and it doesn't do that.?.? Is the brushless tail motor a lot heavier than the stock setup?

@ricansurf Thanks for the heads up. It's a great beginner's 6-Ch flybarless helicopter. Easy to fly and easier to repair than the more complicated belt drive and gear shaft driven cp helicopters.

RTF? When you install this system, do you need to change the radio settings for RUDD GYRO MIX? The old system takes a LOT of mix to work. What about this way?

@bluehazer Its all about your setup. If you need too much throttle to lift your helicopter, then you need to adjust your settings on the TX to give more pitch to your blades as well as the level at which to give that positive pitch. You can check our settings for both the WK-2603 and WK-2801 PRO when installing your main brushless kit.

The direct drive (dd) brushless tail motor is slightly heavier than the stock because its a better motor and the extra wires needed to drive the brushless motor.

Please let everyone know on the RCGroup Forum. It's a beautiful thing. Easy to repair, less parts, more fly time. What's not to like ?
