  • That is an interesting piece I enjoy the movement of tonality.

  • @larryglass61

Back in '66?!! You must have meant '96. You can't be around 70 years old.

  • @kyleyac I can call Mr. Karrick and ask him where to get this sonata,,he was my high school band director..let me know.

  • Cecil Karrick was my high school band director. He has written over 400 marches and sonatas and other pieces. the march i liked most was Army of the Potomac. I played this piece back in 1966. I still talk to him on occasion. He was band director for Bowling Green High School..Bowling Green, Kentucky..He has since retired but an AWSOME director. We always played difficult pieces but got superior ratings..It was a priviledge to hear this again and played so well.

  • absolutely love your playing and this piece! :-) I have never heard it before but it is quite energetic and delightful to the ear! Where would you get the music from? I looked on Flute World and it was not listed.

  • Your astounding. Maybe one day I can be as great of a flute player as you.

  • classicalmusicreview: Thank you for your comments. I am sorry you did not like the performance but I appreciate you taking the time to listen.

    Regards,

    Nina

  • I feel that the beautiful flute tone is overshadowed by a constantly unmitigated and unvaried tenseness in the phrasing and not often varied articulation that never allows an expressive affect beyond manicness to develop. Not nearly so good as some of your Telemann.
