This is my second implementation of a "steam" engine in Lego that is powered by my trusty vacuum cleaner. The engine's top speed is just over 900 RPM.

More information, and building instructions can be found here: http://anthony.liekens.net/index.php/Lego/SteamEngine

  • how do you make this(put outorial plz)

  • @saharat1 More information on how this engine works and how to build it: check the description and the linked URL!

  • can this engine operate as a compressor if a electric motor installed?

  • Yes, it works as a compressor/vacuum too. By rotating the wheels, you can feel puffs of air coming from the inlet. Similarly, putting pressure on the inlet instead of a vacuum engine makes the engine running in the other direction.

  • hey it's ur guess ut how many rpms do u think it goes ?

  • As stated in the description, 900RPM.

  • This is truly amazing. I never thought I would see a genuine piston-powered Lego engine. 5 out of 5.

  • This is the best lego engine i've ever seen on any website! Not only because it is very fast, its also very easy to build, and you almost just use old-style lego bricks!

    5/5 indeed!!
