John Mohr
Stock Stearman
2008 NAS Oceana Airshow
NAS Oceana, Virginia
Saturday September 20, 2008
IN THIS VIDEO, watch as John Mohr flies his FULL AEROBATIC ROUTINE in his Stearman, even under these low overcast skies. John's performance is very tight to show center and usually keeps most of his looping maneuvers under 300 feet. He told me the night before this video was shot that the highest he'll get in his performance is 1,000 feet. I apologize for the poor video quality, as I was trying my best to get the best video under VERY WINDY conditions, which persisted through Saturday night.
Like what you've seen? Well, if you are interested in purchasing DVDs of specific aircraft and/or of airshows, interested in anything and everything related to airshows (where the jet teams will show up, all airshow performers, airshow reports from airshows I have attended, previews of airshows I will be attending, etc.), a much more easier to navigate "version" of all of my videos, and/or everything there is related to aviation - including spotting guides to my favorite airports and military bases and aircraft factfiles, please take time to check out Steve's Airshow World at http://www.stevesairshow.com .
Tons of drag, low power, ailerons on half of the available wings, and no inverted systems. For a stock Stearman that's as good as it will ever get!
