This was produced as my final piece for the animation course which has now come to an end. I'm not really that pleased with the actual story but am very proud of the puppets and animation.
You can find Dawn's account (the voice of Jill) here: http://uk.youtube.com/user/serenity2105
Pirate Jim aka Jim Ashworth, has a YouTube account here: http://uk.youtube.com/user/sallepierrelamy
Workshop Dave is also known as Dave Jones and Colin's surname is Salisbury.

  • Did you really do that?? it's totally awesome and amazing! you're such a proffesional. I wish I could do that

  • Yup. :) Thanks.

    Keep practicing and you will.

Observing real life movement is a good thing to do.

  • that was fantastic!!

    can i ask some questions?

    1. what was the grass made out of?, and

    2. what were the trees made of?

  • Cheers.

    1. The grass was just green crate paper stretched across the animating table.

    2. The coloured tree was made from papier maché and then painted with poster paints. The black trees in the background of some shots were just paper cut outs.

  • what did you papier mache the trees over?

or is there something i'm missing

  • I forgot to say. The tree had a tree-shaped cardboard frame inside it. Two flat tree shapes that slotted together at right angles.
