This is a video of me candling one of my eggs on the 4th day of incubation. Candling means shining a bright light through the egg to see the embryonic development.

  • where did u get the light i really need one and is there always a bird in the egg

  • @lena11041 I got the light at a hardware store. It's an LED flashlight and its very bright. Not all eggs have a bird in them. Only fertilized eggs are hatch-able, so get your eggs from a farm that has chickens and roosters. Do not buy the eggs from a grocery store. Those will not hatch at all.

  • i candled mine on the 4rth day it looked exactly like that. not its the 19th day and i cant tell if theres anything in there anymore, i dont know if they died or what?

  • @vruble500 If it looks almost all dark except for a pouch of air on one side, that means it's alive.

  • @URAbunnylover2 ohk thank you but i have another question will an chick start peeping in an egg before its born?

  • @vruble500 sometimes it does and sometimes it doesnt. But usually it peeps about half a day before pipping the shell
