This is the HD version of an animation I did in early 2008. The music is by David Lynch from his film, Inland Empire. I was mostly trying to add to the strange, uneasy feeling of the music, without doing anything too flashy or complicated to distract from it. The last frame is the same as the first, so it's in an infinite loop.

Click the "HD" button on the bottom right corner of the player if it isn't already on.

Music by: David Lynch
Song: Call From the Past
Album: Inland Empire (soundtrack)

  • I think I like this one better - it's more like fluid abstract art... the other one looked like organic material at times. Both are cool.

  • Yeah, the other one (SCVX9J) is based on mortality. It uses the types of shapes and motions that are found in life. I was trying to show that everything living has beauty within it, even when just focusing on individual cells, organs, or systems.

I know it's definitely a bit 'gross'. But that's absolutely intentional. It meant to look organic, as you said. ;)
