  • @billyandtherockets Your body isn't used to blowing with force for a very long time. You should try to look up breathing excersizes and practice your breathing, after practicing for a few weeks you will notice you can withstand a lot more than you could before. I was like that last year in my beginner band class. My band teacher taught us with balloons.

  • WITH NO FINGERING MY BOOK SHOWS THIS NOTE AS A G (ON G CLEF).

IF THIS IS A B FLAT INSTRUMENT IS IT PLAYED LIKE G CLEF (RIGHT HAND OF PIANO?) (OR IS THIS BOOK TRANSPOSED>>?

  • WHY DOES BLOWING THE INSTRUMENT MAKE ME DIZZY?

  • blow

  • Thank you SO much! You are the first instructor I heard say "think oooo" to seal the sides. I have had air escaping from the sides of my mouth, which makes me run out of air on whole notes or long phrases.

  • Don't raise your shoulders when breathing in. It creates tension around the neck.

  • @Disssister This is only one of many ways to approach making an embouchure...this is a quite common process...
