Ever since I first heard this song, it has always made me think of JESUS...Because of HIS LOVE, through all the sadness and destruction that surrounds us, I keep my hope in HIM...Without HIS WORD and LOVE, I cannot even imagine finding the way to carry on sometimes...For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans for peace, not evil, plans for hope and a future...Jeremiah 29:11...I have to believe that for all of us...As dark as the situation is for my brother, I believe it for him, too.

Life is Gods energy at work, it never destroys, it only creates. It is the ego greed nature of man (the only true evil) that causes all the chaos in this world. @JoesMechanic For Sting - or anyone else - to be an athiest is a slap in the face to the One who created him. With this in mind, I would say that using the athiest's creation to glorify God isn't that bad at all. All glory belongs to God - not Sting, not his wife/girlfriend; GOD ALONE.

I believe the beauty of a well structured song like this is that it can be interpreted as a message about faith - religiously or secularily. I can handle it both ways but I am a christian so that just adds another dimension for me. What a song! What a musician! What a gift!
