  • I'm breeding African soft-fur rats (half the size of regular rats) and mice for my snakies. But I'd like to switch to rats. Have you had any problems with the rats chewing through the bins you use? That's what I'm worried about.

  • Never had a single chew out. If you don't give them anything to do they will chew some, usualy around the top of the tub where bits of plastic stick out.

    I quit breeding, and sold all of my rats and mice due to current situations out of my controll

  • Yes they can breed together, most spices of mice can breed with one another. I have had feild mice that would breed with domestic mice, but we where having issues with the deer mice, they do not want to be seperated so they can breed.

  • we just had more...4 babies for the mice on thursday. and 13 babies for the rats today
