* WATCH IN HIGH QUALITY *

Here's a demonstration of my Faraday local energy box getting remotely tripped by my Honeywell duct detector. Sorry about the squished video resolution; it's supposed to be in HD.

  • Im going to sound like an idiot, but what are duct smoke detectors used for?

  • They're basically a special type of smoke detectors that are connected to air ducts. They are designed to detect smoke traveling through the ventilation system, and usually contain a relay to shut it down if smoke is detected.

  • What are all the buttons for below the sounders? Manual Testing, Disabling?

  • Yeah, they enable and disable each device.

  • YOU HAVE THE BEST INTRO!

  • Thanks!
