  • which hi-hat do u use?

  • @TheHopperTube It depends. Those are 13" K/Zs but I usually use 14" A customs these days.

  • Question to all you Drum experts, could you use push and pull technique on ghost notes cause ive been doing that and it kinda sounds like it?

  • @Mildongo As long as it sounds right you can do whatever works for you. I always aim to find the most efficient way to play whatever it is that needs playing. Experiment, and don't worry about a 'right' way. The more things you try the better equipped you'll be :)

  • great teaching vid..simple but informative.I will be checking out your other vids thanks again!!

  • @MrTamaman33 Thanks :) Glad you liked it. I'm in the process of setting up a newsletter which will feature a new video every week. Keep checking my website for details. I hope to have it up and running by the end of next week.

  • @Copiophonica Oh man, Abe is crazy with those ghost notes. If you like Abe, you should check out David Silveria (if you haven't already). He's retired now but he could still be a really good influence for technical, funky stuff like ghost notes.

  • I seriously wish more people would teach like you do. So understandable, thank you!

  • The drummer of Deftones uses ghost notes and I was curious to better understand them. This vid was very informative thanks!

  • Definitely trying this out next band practice. Thank you so much for the clear and easy to follow lesson!
