the "bad" model was spread around the world, everybody had to learn foosball on the new table again. each and every bar or pub over the world had to change if they wanted to have the competition table, not only canadian bars.
canadians had to deal with the same problems as everybody else too.
btw, the "new" model if far less a garlando style table as the "bad" model. tic-tac or oldschool is not played anymore and thats a shame.

Canada was cursed in foosball because of Mira Amusement. They were the only distributor of the Garlando table. When ITSF was created they asked Garlando to change their models since it wasn't built for competitive play, unfortunately Mira Amusement had already spread the "bad" model across Canada. Still to this date, new players learn to play on a bad version of the Garlando witch is far different from tables used for real competitive play thus leaving Canadians far behind in pro foosball.
