MAD ABOUT IIT JEE Trailer

Who would have thought that trying to crack the JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) for the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) requires as much preparation as the attempt to win an Olympic race? For a minimum of two long years, 4 am wake ups followed by 12-hour marathon study sessions are routine amongst the hundreds of thousands that train for the most competitive exam in the world. And after all that, only one in 50 make it; keeping out the competition requires great smarts and even greater dedication. This documentary follows 5 students as they gear up for the 2009 IIT-JEE. We track their lives and their experiences as they study around the clock, and watch as the aspirants and their families make the tall sacrifices that are essential to stay ahead in the race.

Its an obsession - and like any other obsession - it looks mad, worthless & sad when someone is into it; if u fail it'll make you look like a loser for years to come; if u succeed it'll be termed as "the perfect achievement".

i got a 2-digit rank in JEE .. yet, i have no doubts that there is life outside IIT and there's excellence outside IIT. But then no achievement comes without hardcore passion.

This is ridiculous....Studying so much will put so much pressure on them that they would not be able to make through...And if they don't I don't think they will be able to cope with it...Its sad watching this from within IIT...Passion for something is good but this is shear Madness...IITs are for allround development not just studying thats what makes it different from other Indian colleges... Study with fun thats what is required or else you cant cope with the life here and afterwards.
