@AceFire117 Thing is, musical cinema (and to a large extent theatre) was originally built on that format: take existing popular tunes, write scenes around them. Most of the Golden Age Hollywood musicals were written that way. Only reason we don't know that is that our association with the songs is so strongly tied to the films we've forgotten the origins of the songs.
