  • eeeeeeh helmets and they look more like taiquando.

my kaju school does it with no helmets, nd there is a LOT less jumping around like there is here.

and hands are kept up, not low.

and the ground is you last resort. you always wanna be standing in a fight.

  • So who are you, and who is your teacher/school?

  • @CBR133T in Emperado/Reyes style we fight from the ground up... you can knock us on the ground but you won't win cause by then we will have broke your knee

  • @redfire03gt thats to bad sir, i wonder if it's a traditional thing..my background is also connected to mr. gaylord. i also hope you and yours are currently safe after the recent tragedy.

  • any school, any style, that puts up their freeform training deserves respect. its never pretty or smooth like a demo. but neither are real fights. very very cool!

  • Ah, I affectionately remember this training, years ago. It's tough to establish a school or even a small contingency of people who want to actually dedicate themselves to learning Kajukenbo out here in Japan. Try as I might, I have only had one dedicated student and unfortunately, no one to equal him. On a side note, I want to thank you, Mr. Bishop for sending me the videos of GGM Gaylord some time ago. It helped refresh me a bit.

  • @CBR133T I wanna move to LA to learn under Dan Inosanto. I wish Greg Harper lived closer cause ive seen some of his students teaching and they were pretty good especially on the discovery channel

  • I hope I get to do ALOT of this drill when I finally join a Kaju place here in fairfield, CA. Looks like it's both a pain in the rear to be the "victim" in the middle, but also alot of fun.

  • This is a REAL dojo, Kajukenbo is awesome

  • Ya know, I just can't keep the first few lines from that old Power Rangers song (no, not the theme..the song was: "Fight!") from entering my head when I watch this. ("You walked into the danger, and you're all alone tonight. You're surrounded by the hunting type--and you just don't care for the sight" lol!)
