These gloves are good for crashing, but I'm sorry to say they are sh*t for the bike. I owned 2 pairs, and the grey stuff on the knuckles and the pinky KILLS the paint. It leaves scratches on EVERYTHING. Steel, glass, plastic, you name it. Try leaving the gloves a few times on the bike, and you'll se it scrathes it up - badly!
Cheers guys, great review. Owned a pair of Penta's for two years now. Unfortunately, the leather has worn through on the left glove's index finger, and the soft compound running from the index finger and thumb is in tatters. The velcro is also just beginning to go off on the wrist. Haven't crashed them yet, although did highside wearing a pair of Spidi SportComposite H2Out's (same knuckle protectors) and they did their job admirably.

If you want Spidi, go for the Carbosix version.
