At HealthBarn USA we know that being a farmer is super cool. The theme of this week's camp was "to be a farmer." We decided as a group to be organic farmers because it's a better way to farm for us and the planet. We planted crimson clover to boost nitrogen in our soil for the delicious vegetables instead of using chemicals -- and used some serious muscle power to transplant some plants that decided they were going to grow in places they were not planted -- those birds again?! We had the best harvest ever which made the opening of the HealthBarn USA farm stand super successful. We sold out of everything and contributed our proceeds to Feed America, the largest food bank in the US.
