Beware the Emergency Fiscal Manager:
A cautionary tale from Benton Harbor, Michigan
Rev. Edward Pinkney tells a gathering at Silicon Valley DeBug, "My city was taken over by a dictator." Michigan's Public Act 4 allows the state to send a non-elected appointee to take over a city, displacing the mayor and other officials. Pinkney traces the action to a struggle over lakefront land coveted by Whirlpool Corporation for commercial development. He warns, "The Emergency Financial Manager is coming to your town!"
Rev. Pinkney's talk was sponsored by Silicon Valley DeBug, CHAM Deliverance Ministry, San Jose Silicon Valley NAACP, United Food and Commercial Workers Local 5 and UNITE-HERE Local 19
I mean EFM, LOL Emergency Financial Manager to be clear!

Now, Detroit trying to fight off the EMF, The state cuts funding to schools and refuses to pay Detroit what it owes them 230M. Tea Party/Republicans are behind the attacks. That NERD in Lansing is just a pawn in the Billionaires plan. The biggest problem of all is that the citizens will not wake-up and see whats going on. It's time we throw out all the minor issues and join together. All cities in Michigan need to join Detroit, come together, and say "We will NOT accept this dictatorship!
