I would like to thank the Western Folk Life Centre for supporting the cowboy poets, promoting cowboy poetry and the western music performers. Every year the Elko Cowboy Poetry Gathering hosts many fans of every age. People travel many miles from around the globe to attend this event. It is events like these that bring people together in sharing and social bonding in what seems to be a hostile world. Poetry has always captivated my interest. Larry Thompson
