This is the most bizarre, surreal techno/bluegrass mashup you will ever see. The cool Dobro-playing rebel Dolby is flanked by scantily clad burlesque models pursued by Parkour Free Running Toadlickers in Prince Charles masks. Directed by Paul D. http://www.paul-d.tv Shot with the Canon EOS 5D Mark II HSDLR. Nominated for 2 Webby Awards. Winner 'Gold' in The W3 Awards & 'Gold' in The Davey Awards. From the new album 'A Map Of The Floating City' by Thomas Dolby.

  • It's not enough to just be weird.

  • A worthy successor to the equally OTT "Key to your Ferrari" - great stuff, great antidote to the corporate cack on the radio.

  • Sick.

  • Good stuff! See you in Arlington! Looking forward to it.

  • Thank God there is still some renegades left

  • This is like the Muppet Show only more messed-up/

  • @thomasdolby Great form, Mr. Dolby! I have always been a great fan. You have been my #1 inspiration in music. Thanks for finally coming out with a new album. As always...eclectic and inspiring. :)

    See you in Orlando......

  • has anybody actually listened to the LYRICS on this album??!? it's the darkest TMDR lyrics i've ever heard..."nothing new" is a cynical rumination about his career, "road to reno" a road/love story that ends in tragedy, "17 hills" a guy wrongly convicted of murder who ends up swimming from alcatraz to his death, "evil twin" about a guy losing his sobriety....

    it's great.

  • After this initial release of a year ago and TMDR's upcoming US tour, I am revisiting all things Dolby.

This is as clever as Airhead and as strange as May the Cube be with you. As far as successors to Screen Kiss and Blimp, thought A&H did a worthy job. 20+ years and Thomas

is making music his way and awesome videos (with an HD SLR!) to boot (or re-boot?)

  • i saw hue hefttoad thought it read hu heffner lol

  • yawn. some funk & soul & jazz please - like in former times, instead of such a polka-stomp.
