I watched Elizabeth Edwards's funeral on C-SPAN today and this hymn was the final hymn as it was a request of Elizabeth's so I feel that her strongest impact on me was giving me an avenue to become familiar to this hymn...

I'd never heard of this hymn until my wife demanded it as she planned her funeral. We sang it for the offering. I will demand it for my funeral, too.

This is my all time favorite hymn, we may be going through the valley not seeing where the path is before me or road, But God does see it and he holds what plan he has for you, just rely on him!!
