  • such feeling, such passion - fabulous!

  • Carreras is unparalleled for the beauty and power of emotions his voice evoke. He is sincere in his interpretations. If you people have no feelings, then Carreras is probably not for you.

  • I have heard many tenors sing this and I agree with Phaedrax2, such feeling, such passion and I would add, such a great technique all his own. I really believe what he is singing and I am brought to tears every time I hear Jose Carreras sing this. Poor pig' and then 'poor Federico'. Jose Carreras the hero who beat a terrible illness, set up a foundation to help others and was able to go on singing and donating money from his performances to help his Leukaemia Foundation. Great Destiny!

  • he had a sad destiny, i mean his illness, as Fritz Wunderlich had, but FW died ... both so young.

  • @Janosita but he is surely for me :)))))

  • @rokbe4u chi?Alagna?

  • Very well done but Carrera just isn't my favorite voice. He did really put a lot into the finish, though. I loved singing this and my music teacher (rest his soul) loved playing the accompaniment. We had a great time with this one.

  • @maxhansendk Well I know opera and i agree that Carreras is not on the same level historically as Bjoerling but I do think that Carreras was born with a much more beautiful voice.

  • @tena2 . I recommend Roberto Alagna

  • Esta bien que sean grandes cantantes, pero esto no les permite pasar por arriba de los compositores, quiero decir de respetar las figuras que estan escritas, no son todas blancas! pero claro estos tipos ya triunfaron y no les calineta nada.

  • @maxhansendk I majored in music and sing with the Minnesota Orch. Our recording of Beethoven's Ninth under Maestro Vanska was nominated for a Grammy. I've a BA and MA in music. And what I wrote about Bjorling's performance of THIS PARTICULAR ARIA is my educated opinion.

As I also wrote I love Bjorling, and have many recordings. Pavarotti called Carreras the last of the greatest tenors of the 20th century. Nobody is

numbering the value of these tenors but you, dumkopf.
