Looked a bit dangerous but i tried it and it worked!!!

I just made sure my fingers were well away from the blade. (I held tile at the edges)

@metallical87 "we mock what we don't understand" This technique has been used for over 40 years. All tile contractors teach their helpers this. I suggest before you start bashing a video you should do your reserch. Call any licensed tile contractor and ask them this technique. It is a safe and convenient way to make a "hole" cut. I would not have posted this video if it was dangerous.

if you need to cut a circle with diameter of 4inch how would i do that on a 8 by 8, 1/4 inch tile? On the corner of the tile???

If the hole touches the corner or side make a series of straight cuts from the edge of the tile. It can be tedius but will work. If the hole does not touch the edge but is close to it you can cut it as explained in the video. You might have to cut from both sides of the tile. Mark your tile on both sides and use the tile saw to cut as far as you can. Also cut a groove in the center of the hole all the way top to bottom. This will releive pressure and allow you pop out the tile.

my argument is simply this, if a blade can cut through something solid as a tile, timber etc it can cut a finger, i know someone who cut half through his digit on a tile saw.

lol ive been tiling 12 years and i can say that no it doesnt cut but it will burn a nice hole in your finger, lol explain also what happens when the tile grabs the blade and throws the tile across the room????

I tried this and it worked like a charm for me for all three holes in a bathtub tiling situation...the showerhead, the valve handle and the faucet....all different sizes...AND FAST!!! thanks for sharing your experience...
