The United States is the largest contributor of troops to the war in Afghanistan, with nearly 70,000 soldiers deployed there.

After eight years of war in Afghanistan and Iraq, US veterans are dealing with years of psychological trauma - the effects of which can literally be deadly.

Rosiland Jordan reports.

  • the question is, who will pay for psychological damage or poor iraqi's and afghans?

  • I blame Bush and Cheney! Those two cowards never served but had no problem sending other people's kids to war. And those two cowards and the rest of the war mongers have done nothing to help the returning veterans. Bush never even bothered to attend the funerals of any returning soldiers.

They are also victims of Bush's lunacy along with all the dead and injured Iraqis. I blame Bush, Cheney, and the rest of the Neo-cons. If there is a God, I hope he has no mercy with the Bushies.

  • @Crystal0mask fucked up.... but so true

  • LOLz what a bunch of pussies, what did they think they went to war for? Picking flowers. XD

  • Like I said, its chess. Nothing in a war is good, period. Neither side (the poor people who join the army and the poor people in the countries we invade) the only people who benefit are the ones who drive the fancy cars and wear suits. Like I said, you dont join the Military to Pick roses and plant gardens, you join knowing the task that might be handed to you. They dont say "hey lets invade Afghanistan".. Two sides that just keep kiling each other doesnt make anything right.

  • "They" have not SEEN murder "They" have done it and that`s why "They" kill them selfs

  • couldn't have sed it better myself!

  • Exactly! We're paying all this money for people who agree to be put in situations like this to get mental help because they are too stressed and seen so much murder and other bad things. And yet how about these other people who have canadian/american troops in their country with tanks, bombs, guns.. whos going to pay for their mental help and their country bing restored to what it was before the war. They have things worse then us and we go and make shit worse. Bullshit

  • Thats bullshit. Everyone has a choice. Instead of going there with guns and bombs and tanks to apparently help them why not go there to help in a peaceful way. Would u respond peacefully to people who came to ur country because they figured your country needed help and they had guns and bombs and tanks? Probably not. The government is unable to think logically apparently. And soldiers..... They can maybe learn to stand up for themselves and also for peace and for whats right.

  • Is that a rhetorical question ?

  • if you can't get Americans to care about Americans, how are you going to get them to care about Iraqi's and Afghani's?!

  • The US is a politically ungovernable state
