Archve footage from Disco Demolition Day, Chicago 1979, archive footage from warehouse raves in England, early 90's, music by Tin Man "Wasteland" together with the actual Disco Demolition-soundtrack.

  • @MrAfroNick

Anyone can clearly see that this was an

    Anti-Minority

    Anti-Homosexual

    Anti-Government

    Anti-interracial dating

    Anti-peace

    ...MOVEMENT

  • This is absolutely amazing. Big up.

  • Just because u burnt jewish books and music in nazi germany didnt make u an anti semite. U just didnt like the lit or tunes of course. (wheres the sarcasm emoticon)

Thank fudge u couldnt stop Levan or Knuckles.

Basically this is facism who gave Steve Dahl the right to tell people what they can listen to? History of house Prt 2 says it best

  • Also, I just want to add (before someone else says it) that Disco Demolition Night was not a "hate" type of event, it was just a rock & roll celebration coupled with a bit of protest against what had become a rather over-the-top fad. I remember the disco types (some, not all) that looked down on you if you weren't into the white three-piece suits and the big hair, that was all that Disco Demolition Night was really about for Steve Dahl and his fans (like myself.)

    Great video though, nice work.

  • Great footage, where'd you come across all the Disco Demolition Night footage? Also, I notice in the tags you call it a 'riot' but there was no fighting or major injuries, just a party crowd that got a little out of control but not a riot.

Cool mix though, I don't know that the music you're playing is disco but it's an interesting contrast between the Disco Demolition Night footage and the clubbing scenes (which I don't really consider the same scene anymore.)

Rock on, thanks for the post.
