@opajohann I wish I could say I do. My dad, and I are both Byz. Catholic. My mom and sister aren't. When my dad met my mom, they met in college. They settled close to my moms family. My dad took me every week to St. Mary's- which is anywhere from 40-50 mins away depending on traffic. When my sister was born, my dad and I stopped going.
I really do miss it. Want to start back up again.

i actually visited this church 2 years ago, but i attended the Melkite Liturgy in this same church. I believe our parishioners are renting it until they can raise the funds for their own church. God bless the Catholic Faith!

Hmm, my heart is going to break. Have been away from San Diego for more than 2 years, and missing it and my church badly. I was actually one of the alter boys in the ground breaking ceremony back in 1978 (I was 10). My sister has a giant Theotokos icon hanging in her house painted by Mrs Mina. Thanks for posting this, brings me back home.

Yes, It is stunning! Literally from the floor to the top of the ceiling. One of my favorites, (aside from my own parish, the Cathedral of St Mary BCC in Sherman Oaks CA) which has iconography done by the same iconographer, Mila Mina.
