Alysha Ariela community Baby

My name is Alysah Ariela Ricaplaza. I was born the 7th child, on 11-11 to Pinky and Randy Ricaplaza at home by a midwife, in the Philippines.

My dad's sister, Lorna, is my aunty, and she lives in the United States right now.

I am being raised in Subic bay by Dave Dewbre and Diana Limjoco, because my parents wanted one of us to have a shot at a better life. My parents are poor. They don't have much money with 6 other children to feed. I know it was a big sacrifice for them to give me up to be raised by extended family members.

This is where, as the years go by, you can watch me grow into a hybrid sort of New Filipina. Half in the world of the common people and half in a priviledged one. I hope I can bridge the gap between the rich and poor of my country someday.

Someday a lot of you may even have some good advice for me, and when I am older, I can reply back!
