I asked one of the Wastepro guys' premission to multi cycle the packer on one of the 2 brand new RL McNeilus/Mack MR Terrapro garbage trucks. Wastepro of Bradenton, FL has a whole fleet of these new beasts! I may never see these trucks again cause I don't know the exact location where they operate! So please comment & rate!!

  • the one thing that always bug me about the

mcneilus packer is it packs a little bit of trash but on bulky items it does well

  • I agree! Another thing that bothers me is when packer comes down before sweep position, the trash that was compacted always comes down & almost falls out!!

1 of the main reasons I prefer LEACH 2Rs cause trash always gets compacted & never escapes!!

Plus , that's all I saw up North before I moved to FL was all LEACH!!

  • NICEEEE Cool drivers eh?

  • Yeah!! I was lucky! All I can do is keep my fingers crossed lol!!!!

  • Awesome video!!! This was a neat catch getting both the trucks on film and driving... good onya! Very nice of the driver to do a couple of packs - those sweep cylinders are pretty thick I noticed, at least compared to some of the other ones I've seen. I bet these XCs could pack some pretty serious loads to with the body size - imagine the weight of a food/organics load! hehe

  • Thanks! You're probably right! The pistons on the packer look pretty thick! These McSqueezus RLs could probably do some damages on Bulky items!! But in my opinion, not as much as the Leach2R!! I'm baffled that these guys told me they're going to the dump! I looked behind the cab & the ejector wasn't all the way up! Truck wasn't even packedout full!WTF?

  • as a garbageman i can tell you mcneilus are top of the line. this must be a high compaction model with how slow it is. the standard packers have a cycle time of 17-19 seconds.

  • Plus they're kinda slow according to him, I think it's optional whether you want Mcneilus tippers on your Mcneilus equipment or not lol

  • my aunt lives there. and one day i will go there to visit her with my grandparents. so i might see these trucks

  • I bet no RL packer beats the 2R... that's like impossible! :) Maybe they finished their run and were just tipping off whatever they had on / maybe they were passing by the tip to the next stop, so decided to just unload the truck on the way.
