I just got a 1967 Sparkle top (for $350.00!) and was wondering are they rare? I know these rhodes are worth a lot and how sought after they are, but all I can find is information on 1966 Sparkletops, the only rhodes built in 67 that i can find info on are the piano bass models. So is there anything special about 67 sparkle tops? were there many produced?

what's with those piano style hammers with felts on the parts that hit the tine!
-
I love how the low notes growl when hit hard!
-
I can see the 4th damper (G1 note)is off... check it out.

I could listen this for hours.

@xHoboMcGeex dont worry! There are controls for the Tremolo speed and depth. Not a stupid question at all :)

Sorry if I sound stupid for asking this, but is there a way to control the vibrato?
Nice job guys! Are you guys making new mk1 tops now, or just selling mint ones? PM me your rates for custom red or silver sparkle tops.

We replaced all Felt hammers all damper felts, replaced 6 pick ups with original style, set key bed and leveled keys, installed a Miracle Mod action modification, new pedestal felts, set and modified the action rail, set strikeline and corrected improper escapement, stabilized oscillation drift of bass tines.modified damper arms to exagerate pull of damper and allow full sway of tine without interference.Tuned, voiced again and again-

sounds really nice. voiced and tuned well!! I am also a big fan of taking the signal directly from the harp, as you did here. (what kind of preamp was used here?)

@piellekes No pre amp was used straight from harp to Mac- nothing added, just direct with no process.
