  • No offense, I don't wanna watch Charlie Rose either, but I think the show will move back to the 10pm slot, followed by Last Word.

Overall, her new show seems better than the previous one, but there're too many transitions in between, especially before and after the intro, which is unnecessary.

PS: I bet she's a pretty good actress, I mean literally she's talking to the air, just kidding.

  • Definitely better than the previous one - nicer transition between the intro and the reality. Less dramatic, more professional. Not sure why things seem moving a lot faster in this intro. But I feel excited about it.

Mr. Cranny seems to be on the holiday. I miss his firm voices and smart words. Caroline needs to practice on her scripts before putting too many gestures.

Need to adjust next week as DST begins on Sunday. Not sure about Bloomberg's schedule. I don't want to watch Charlie Rose.

  • @todayonmtt New schedule is out, Last Word will not be airing in Asia during DST, what a shame.

  • What do you guys think about the new open of The Pulse?

  • @flegmegmegtennismeg Just checked the European schedule - you are right. But it is only shown on Mon, Wed & Fri, which is odd to me. All three episodes are about Mr. Philip Green - not sure if it is a three-part series or simply re-runs...

Regarding Mr. Barton, I agree with you. Many veterans have left and he is the only one who I can recognise. He has been serving Bloomberg for so long, perhaps long before I watched Bloomberg 10 years ago. I like him a lot too - Hope he will have his shows.

  • @todayonmtt No, in fact, it's going to replace "Street Smart" several times a week. It won't be shown elsewhere or any other time.

And you're totally right, it's not a bad thing to let a man host a show. It's a pity Mark Barton doesn't have his very own show with his name on it. Well, so doesn't Linzie Janis, but still... he deserves it.

  • @zaclocy Indeed, she is great at looking at the camera and moving her body as it moves. I need to praise the camera crews for their great job. No other shows on Bloomberg or other television news would be so "wild" to use their cameras in this cinematic way in a basically fixed location (Other Bloomberg Europe shows are different - the hosts move so do the cameras).

Transitions seem indeed too many. But I do not mind as I do not have any idea what kind of transition shall be placed in between.

  • @zaclocy Not sure until the very last minute. Their schedule are often not so reliable. If they DO show Charlie Show, I will immediately send Bloomberg my feedback. There are enough of Charlie at the weekend. I hope Bloomberg is smart enough to adjust the schedule. I personally think both Last Word and Surveillance Midday is a good combination for my programme before I go to bed - both are very informative. I personally dislike CNBC/US for being talking too much nonsense, especially Mr. Kudlow.

  • @flegmegmegtennismeg Really? 20-second intro? I did not notice the show until you told me about the show. What a pity to miss it.

About the new show, it is going to be very interesting. But according to Bloomberg's website, I suspect it is a weekend interview show, hosted by Francine (again!?). Hasn't Bloomberg realised that there is an unbalance gender tendency on its choices of hosts? I would prefer Manus to host it. What a pity the talent of this intelligent man is ignored/underestimated!

  • Thanks for uploading both versions. By the way, the very first episodes of "Last Word" contained a 20-second-long opener. After a week, I guess, Bloomberg introduced a shorter opening sequence, which is in keeping with the other shows.

And next week there's a new European show called "Eye to Eye," which seems to be broadcast exclusively in Europe.
