  • Oh. I can see it isn't so simple... I can remember that digi tunes in some games were muting all other channels. Why?

  • @4nnanda: Couldn't say exactly. I imagine it's because the digi samples were recorded too loud on those particular tunes that it drowned out the other channels.

  • SID has 3 tracks and 1 track with noise... Is that right?

  • @4nnanda: Not quite. The SID has 3 channels for audio, but a 4th is possible by exploiting a bug and is used in digi tunes. It also has 4 waveforms, namely sawtooth, pulse, triangle and noise. These can be modulated, enveloped, filtered and combined. Either way, it was very advanced for its time. Nothing came close.

  • The SID could probably do even more amazing stuff with a more powerful CPU. Even though the C65 was just a prototype, has anybody made any demos or music? As it has dual SIDs and a 3.5 MHz CPU, so I would wager it could do neat stuff.

  • Beast tune all the way! I love jeroen tel's work so much!

  • Thanks anyway for the conversation. Greetings.

  • one of those fab double-speed tunes...

  • Bastian-You've got my love : simply the same
