u came in romania because in u're country czeh rep. is forbidden to take trees out of nature....in romania trees are cut for fire because we have a lot of poor people and they need to warm ... and in somme areas we don't have gas pipes ... and we also cut trees for ue countries and sell them for a few bucks because u put new rules for romania to enter in the community . i bet that u buy the trees from a romanian peasant for a few euros arent u ???
Pierrolin, The guy who runs Isabellia is a professional. The Czech republic has very strict environmental controls and an entire forrestry service who will slap you straight in gaol if you take trees. Your comments are with respect ill informed. Many of the trees come from Romania, a country I visit often. In Romania these trees are routinely cut for firewood - honestly I've seen it. They are considdered fit for nothing else. What is more preferable? Bonsai or firewood?
I do bonsai, I do Yamadori but I am disturbed by these images: its a violation of nature. The Bonsai community should be aware that this kind of mass Yamadori is damaging our natural heritage and sheds a dreadful light on us. European amateurs are taking advantage of weak environmental custody in some countries (Czech but also Spain, France, Italy, ...) to by trees they would not dare to pick in their own mountains... very sad indeed and not a convincing case of respect vis a vis nature.
Ive been to the Isabellia nursery and the material is of an internationally high standard. It is however of an equally internationally high price. Most yamadori is comming out on the 5 thousand euro mark. Joseef Valuch's nursery is outstanding and is an excellent source of fantastic material and pots but he is pricey.
How can I get my hands on this great material? Someone please let me know!
