Toner transfer etched MPU6050 + HMC5883L breakout running Invensense 6-axis fusion DMP demo on the Atmel UC3-A3 Xplained board with the Invensense Teapot demo running on the host. All fusion and filtering occurs on the MPU6050, and quaternions are returned to the host microcontroller. The Embedded Motion Library doesn't yet support the HMC5883L for 9-axis fusion, but it's populated and ready to go for when they do. Also, the board has a header to connect a second I2C breakout with another MPU6050 using the alternate address. Working now to write some 8-bit AVR firmware that at least mimics the UC3 demo firmware to hold me over for now.

  • Awesome! Two questions: is that all their code, just with your breakout? And, WHERE did you get that fake hand?

  • @codemonkey85 Yup. All their code for now. Just my breakout. And it's a plaster cast from an aljinate mold of my hand. :-D

  • Hi, thanks for your video. Is the Embedded Motion Library delivered by Invensense?

Does the fusion algorithm also correct the magnetic interference for the Ecompass?

I am trying to build some similar either with the MPU6050 + HMC5883L or LSM303DLH + L3G4200D combinations but it isn't easy to find what is the best option or if there are better (i.e. cheaper) alternatives...

    Thanks.
