@TheUsmivka after 1945, the STANDARD Macedonian LANGUAGE was the Skopje dialect which has a great similarity to serbian. That doesn't speak for all the dialects of the Macedonian language. My family is from the south-western/western (if you count aegean macedonia) Macedonia.  This dialect sounds nothing like serbian or bulgarian. but you are right, northern dialect of the Macedonian launguage has a lot of similarities to serbian.

@TheUsmivka no you are off base, more like german to dutch. definite difference of culture and language, not MUCH different, but basically what I am trying to say is you are bulgarians and we are Macedonians the end, love it or hate it.
