Team 241 Tests Their Trebuchet For TechFest

On November 14th,2009, Team 241 of Derry, NH will be hosting NHTECHFEST. One of the events is an apple tossing trebuchet contest.


The Trebuchets must meet specific size and materials requirements, such as being primarily constructed out of wood. They much launch a 6 ounce apple(+- 1.0 ounces) to the Target Area. The primary Target Area shall be a circle measuring 18 feet in
diameter. The center of the Target Area will be located exactly 60 feet from the
center of the Launch Area. To further delineate scoring areas within the Target
Area, there will be two square platforms, of successively smaller size, placed in the
center of the Target Area circle, one on top of the other
