People ! People !!... PEOPLE : Paul McCartney's best album IS NOT "Band On The Run" as the legend has it, his best album is "RAM", his 1971 album, and every Pop musician in the world AND in the business agrees with me it seems... Check out "RAM" please and then come back to me...

I'm a classically trained musician, not a pop musician, but I disagree with you. And I know pop musicians do too. 

I've heard a lot of McCartney's post-Beatles stuff, and I think, overall, 'Band on the Run' is his strongest post-Beatles albums.

There are flashes of brilliance in 'McCartney' and 'RAM', but 'Band on the Run' holds together better as a full fledged album.

I don't complete agree with you. Ram is such a great album, but I think Band on the Run was a tiny cut above. But, depending on my mood, I might agree with you tomorrow. His songs are so matchless. Check out Wildlife--one of the most under appreciated albums of all time.

I just saw McCartney over the weekend. I noticed he was using some of the footage taking during the album cover shoot. I did not know there was film of this until the concert. Great show by the way.

@meekintheweb no band of the run is better,i dont think ram is one of his top albums maybe because he wrote his best songs in the last beatle album,his insparation was weaker at his next work

the 1st WIngs band, shown in htis album, is hte best. Denny Laine- the former Moody Blues guitarist is skilled, and Paul has more fun with his wife Linda around.

Paul wiht his kids is soo cute. I like almost all of Paul's work. every album wiht the Beatles, Wings, or alone has something amazing in it.

I figure that at around 02:18 Paul grabs Kenny and they both sing a line from The Beatles song "Misery" ?. That's what it looks like to me. Kenny had the 1st Beatles cover with "Misery".
