@Taorero Yes, I recognize the skill, but each job is fairly individual and is done as fast as possible. NASCAR stops are very team-oriented and take a lot of co-ordination. Plus, I know not a single old fat man working on an over-the-wall crew for NASCAR. Most of them are college athletes, or have a very athletic background.

@EaAddict360 It's all about speed. There is still skill in changing a V8 supercar wheel and F1 pitstops even though they are quick and only last a few seconds. The only reason I can see why Nascar is still stuck in the old ways of changing tires in pit stops is the fact that they allow old/overweight men to do the job whereas to be part of the pit crew in other races such as V8/F1 you have to be very fit.

@Grogan1988 that takes the team skill out. it may not be easy, but its easier than changing 5 lugs and hualing a 15 pound jack around
