For most of the kids from petoskey this was the first time they had ever been south of Cadillac .........and Grand Rapids must have seemed like a combination of NYC /Tokyo/Mexico City to them

P.S (NFettig) it was NOT an Otsego marching band member that said that. It was people from another band who clearly had NO idea what they were talking about.

Otsego sounded AMAZING at Jenison this year. They deserved to win.

Are you saying you walked past two Otsego students who were having talking and you caught a part of it? We always had the greatest respect for Petoskey as most of the parents we often discussed moving there don't think that the Otsego students you overheard didnt respect Petoskey or know deep down you take marching seriously otherwise you wouldnt be beating them.

im just teasin but you guys are so big compared to us (otsego) thats why u get more points then us... which is just poop i think.

The judges do an excellant job in judging, and its hard sometimes to make the finite decisions when its so close. one guy falling, being trampled by the drum line is a huge glaring mistake but put two nearly perfect performances together, a larger band will win if it has technical excellence. in 2007 it was the drums for Ptsky in 2008 it was the umbrellas.. point is they make a bigger splash for that oh so small difference in bands. You should all be proud of your bands and performances I am.
