Marcel Marceau is a great mime, but he did not create the moonwalk, the dance had been around for ages, its original name is the blackslide, it was just made mainstream by MJ. Research Cab Calloway, The Nicolas Brothers, even Fred Astaire, mind you they didnt create it either. Just entertainers that made it popular in their times.

Fantastic, and with Red Skelton too! Many don't know or appreciate that Michael was a very good student of Marceau, Fred Astaire, etc. Jeff Daniels of Shalamar popularized what would be called the Moonwalk, but it's true that some version of it has been around for many decades prior to Motown 25.
