  • Dr, I have always had strong feet. I am a runner and I have never had this problem before. However, I have been doing a lot more training lately and I have been ruck marching up to 18 miles with an extra 55 pounds on my back. I have taken a week off from everything except swimming. My pain is almost gone. HOW long do I need to wait to start running again? I can't afford to take too much time off from running, but I don't want this to come back...

  • @fistsofchucknorris It probably occured due to the increase load on your feet. You can go back but slowly increase the load and time on your feet. Get some good otc inserts if you do not have a custom one. Try Lyncos. If this does not help, go see a podiatrist for a custom orthotic and good stretching exercises.

  • I think I have plantar Fasciitis because I feel all the pain in the areas you described and by time it is getting worse, especially if i walk for long distances. what I worry about is that some times even the top of my foot hurts, what can it be? Is it another problem or is it still plantar fasciitis?

  • @dragonlyrad The plantar fasciitis can alter your gait pattern and now the tendons and joints on the top of the foot are getting more abuse. No two feet are alike. This is why custom orthotics (inserts) are beneficial. Try an otc one first (Lyncos) and if this does not help, go see a foot specialist.

  • I have been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis & achilles paratenonitis. The pain when I get out of bed is not what concerns me. I experience constant pain on the inside of both heel bones. I have tried so many things but nothing has helped. Can you suggest anything else? Is acupuncture or a surgical procedure an option? I am wearing orthotics (which have been adjusted 3 times), I do calf stretching exercises, I ice the heels etc. but nothing helps. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • @TOMEGUN1983 The traditional treatments are mentioned on the video. Other treatments after that can be ESWT, cryotherapy or the K-laser. I use all three (not at the same time) very successfully.

  • @TOMEGUN1983 You can go to my website to check these treament modalities out. Like K-laser, ESWT and cyrotherapy.

  • I can't have this im only a 15 year old boy playing football for school! i need help A.S.A.P.

  • I found you because I am a marathon runner, and I ran thousands of miles without have this problem, but I had a little accident. I dropped a 400lb motorcycle and my left foot got jammed. I did not think it was bad until the next day. So I RICE'd my foot stopped running (no choice) and it did not heal that great so I went to a doctor. He said I had PLANTAR FASCILITIS. He stuck the bottom of my foot with anti inflamatory something something. I can run again BUT I have PAIN in the PLANTAR area.

  • What are other options or new options available after ESWT?

Will this be healed ever or I live it this way the rest of my life? I am close to 40 years now. Any advice?

    Thanks!

  • I had done all kind of exercises and stretching, custom orthotics, physical therapies, chiropractor, and name but nothing works as I speak. Luckily, I have been working on good jobs since 2000 and my insurance always pay for all these expenses and I paid only co-pay and not a dime from my pocket. I always wear custom orthotics that I bought online few years ago and good shoes. I am 5'-10 and weights 175 pounds and physically sound and active . I am celebrating my 10 years of PF

  • I had the ESWT done back in 2007 performed on my both feets and ever since then my pain went from a level 5 to a permanent 8. I had plantar fasciitis since 2002 but the pan was always in the heels. After ESWT it spreads all over the feet and is 24/7 and I get so used to it, I don't pay attention on pain anymore.
