  • They had BETTER tape this performance.

  • Bernadette Peters was born to play Desiree. She gives an exquisite performance, and I can't believe I was lucky enough to see her in this show!

  • What is that instrumentation at 0:44? Ugh, sounds electric and chunky, rather than beautifully warm and lush.

  • I'm a bigger fan than u!

  • I've seen Bernadette in concert and as Annie Oakley. I consider myself a huge fan, and would give anything to see her as Desiree. She was miscast as Annie Oakley, and she seemed not at all committed to the performance. I've heard her Mama Rose was not up to par. (It was waiting for Patti.) In concert however, she was one of the best solo concerts I've ever seen. Up there with Barbra Streisand, Patti Lupone, and Lena Horne. This part feels tailor-made for Bernadette's talents.

  • They taped this performance I wanna see it!

  • @boynamedalexxx I will see it on october 19!!!!

Thanks for emphasizing the need to see it!

  • I truly can't stress it enough that people NEED to see this show with Bernadette Peters. She's giving the best performance in New York. The applause she received after "Send In The Clowns"-- which practically shook the theater-- paled in comparison to the ovation she got at the curtain call. She embodies every element of the character perfectly: the humor, the cynicism, the sensuality, the bitterness, and the heartbreak.

Spend the money. See it now.

  • Fabulous Broadway!

  • I agree with cheno93 she was amazing. :D
